Howdy started with a simple observation: many people in Austin want to volunteer, but there is no easy way to find opportunities, track contributions, or be recognized for showing up.

The idea took shape over conversations among a small group of neighbors. What if a platform could match willing volunteers with nonprofits in need, verify their service hours, and let local businesses say “thank you” with real perks?

That is what we are building. Howdy is currently in an early pilot phase, testing with a small number of community partners and local businesses in Austin. The platform is functional but still evolving — and we are learning with every interaction.

Our long-term vision is a community where every act of service is visible, valued, and celebrated. We are not there yet, but every step forward brings us closer.
